The symposium's confirmed speakers are some of the best in the U.S. Dr. Tricia Neuman, Vice President and Director of the Medicare Policy Project, Kaiser Family Foundation, Washington, D.C., testifies regularly before Congress and will provide a demographic profile of current and future Medicare beneficiaries and the ways in which coverage and care are changing. Dr. Brian Biles, an expert in Medicare Advantage, will provide an overview of the Medicare Appeals process and Medicare Advantage plans. Dr. Marilyn Moon, an internationally recognized Medicare expert and former public trustee of the Medicare Trust Funds, will focus on the prospects for national health care reform generally and Medicare reform specifically. Symposium faculty will also include senior lawyers from Center for Medicare Advocacy who will outline current litigation trends and emerging legal theories and share their experiences in bringing successful cases on behalf of Medicare beneficiaries.
